Our house is a very, very , very fine house....

Experimental shot of the Northeast end of our house. The kitchen lights are on and the moon is overhead. It's beginning to look a lot like...well...you know.

Oooo, me first! Very festive looking! I leave my lights up all year long and occasionally use them as my porch light. It's nice not to feel like the odd man out on my block once the season of lights starts up. Although, my block is depressingly light-free at this point.

Simply lovely - it's nice to see someone's house that isn't done up to death. :) The popular item in my hood is the blowup Christmas lawn ornament, so we have a giant Nutcracker, a giant sno-globe, and a giant Grinch all residing nearby.

Nice lights, people are going crazy in New York trying to outdo each other, especially with those inflatable figures, but we have our lights too. We have small multi-colored lights on the front porch with candles at the front ends. And if we get to it, we have an 8-foot snowman to put up, and we have rope lights and older string lights for a tree. I guess we get carried away too! :-)

It is pretty. And I couldn't imagine what Texas would look like during the holidays...
Regarding the blow-up atrocities? We were in the hardware store last night and my daughter saw the Grinch and went crazy. She had to have it. I told her the only way we were bringing it home is if it sat in her room. Glowing all night. She settled for a pack of candy-cane shaped dog biscuits.

ah, you use the pretty color lights! Soooo much better than the icicle lights my husband INSISTS on using. Those are soooo 1990.

"...with two cats in the yard..." but what't so experimental about it? And by the way did I tell you about Kelly Clarkson?
